Slow Pulse

Slow Pulse is a short film written and directed by Marshall Tyler. Following lead character Bernard Brash as he learns to dance in his Los Angeles community, the film slowly reveals the profound reason behind his pursuit — a father’s devotion, and the transformative power of love to turn heartbreak into hope. The film commemorates the time of George Floyd’s murder, honoring his memory through the lens of Black fatherhood and family.

Poster, key art, and graphic design for Slow Pulse, the third Oscar-qualifying short film by writer-director Marshall Tyler. I led the visual identity for the film — creating the poster, key art, and supporting graphics for a deeply moving story about grief, fatherhood, and the healing power of artistic expression.
